Shoes. Bricks. Me. – Reflections from Auschwitz
An International Auschwitz Committee exhibition in cooperation with the German Resistance Memorial Center and the International Youth Meeting Center in Oświęcim/Auschwitz
To launch the worldwide commemoration of the 72st anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz and to mark the 12th International Holocaust Remembrance Day, the International Auschwitz Committee in cooperation with the German Resistance Memorial Center and the International Youth Meeting Center in Oświęcim/Auschwitz presents the exhibition:
Shoes. Bricks. Me. - Reflections from Auschwitz
Survivors of the camp and young visitors to the memorial center-trainees at Volkswagen AG and Polish vocational students from Bielsko-Biała-report from differing perspectives on their memories and experiences of Auschwitz in the past and the present. And they name their hopes, questions, and expectations for today and tomorrow.
The exhibition opening by the chairman of the Social Democratic Party of Germany, Vice-Chancellor Sigmar Gabriel, and the Auschwitz survivor Prof. Felix Kolmer (Prague) takes place at the German Resistance Memorial Center, at Stauffenbergstraße 13-14, 10785 Berlin, 2nd floor, Room B, at 7 pm on January 25, 2017.
