Online seminars

The German Resistance Memorial Center offers online seminars for a range of participants. Seminars can be targeted at school pupils from the age of 15, students, army groups, multipliers, and all other groups of young people and adults. Previous knowledge of National Socialist history would be preferable.

During the online seminars, participants concentrate on selected topics from the permanent exhibition "Resistance against National Socialism." Using example biographies, the seminars introduce the societal breadth and social diversity of the resistance against National Socialism. The focus is on the motives, goals, and scope for action of the people involved in the resistance against the National Socialist dictatorship.

All online seminars are available in German, English, French, or Italian.

Length
Our online seminars last approx. 75 minutes. Other seminar lengths are possible by arrangement.

The online seminars can be held flexibly in various learning settings. We use BigBlueButton:

  • Variant 1: As online seminars using a laptop and projector in classrooms, seminar rooms, etc.
  • Variant 2: As online seminars using multiple devices, without participant presence in a seminar room, class room, etc.

Information on the seminars for multipliers:

Seminar format “Multiplier seminar” (Online)

In this seminar format, we aim to present the German Resistance Memorial Center as a place of learning to teachers and other multipliers. A key element is familiarizing participants with the permanent exhibition and its accompanying material, as well as the seminar program and the various German Resistance Memorial Center online resources. Examples of particular interest to young people are presented and discussed. The seminar also offers an opportunity to talk about experiences with lesson units on resistance against National Socialism.
