General Information

The German Resistance Memorial Center offers guided tours for groups through selected topics of the permanent exhibition with informative discussions of individuals or groups and their motives and goals. Advance registration is required. Topics may be agreed upon at registration or before the program (lasting from one and one-half to two hours).

Participation is free of charge. Please register at least six to eight weeks in advance.

For individual visitors an audio guide to selected sections of the permanent exhibition is available free of charge in German, English, Spanish, French or Italian.

Please note – Tours between July 2013 and July 2014
Between July 22, 2013 and July 2014, the permanent exhibition on the 2nd floor is closed for a major redesign. During this period, the German Resistance Memorial Center continues to offer free guided tours for groups of visitor on all topics of resistance against National Socialism, with prior registration. The tours, with informative talks on examples of resistance activities by individuals or groups, are held in our exhibitions on the 3rd floor. The topics can be discussed on registration or directly beforehand.

Please bear the following in mind when booking:

  • Due to space restrictions, a maximum of 50 people can take part at one time. Should you be interested in a guided tour with a group of more than 50 people, please bear this in mind when registering and book separate tours for up to 50 people each, beginning at intervals of at least the length of the tour.
  • During the redesign period, we anticipate waiting times of at least 12 to 16 weeks. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
  • Guided tours last 90 minutes.

Public tours take place free of charge at 3 p.m. every Sunday. No registration is required for these tours.
